Changing the State’s Gun Laws

The Iowa House passed legislation last Tuesday to make sweeping changes to the state’s gun laws. Representative Matt Windschitl, of R-Missouri Valley felt confident this was best for the 3 million Iowans as there was no debate on the bill. There are a variety of new allowances in the bill as well as new provisions prohibiting old gun laws. One for example would be that Iowans would no longer have access to the names of those who hold permits to carry guns, which are currently available to the public.
