In reversing several convictions of a Defendant, the Iowa Court of Appeals has held that psilocybin is different from psilocyn, so if charged with one, proof of the other is insufficient for conviction. Further, when it comes to a firearms charge, the allowable unit of prosecution is each incident of firearm possession, or the number of firearms, not the number of charges or the number of ways the crime can be committed. Also, there was insufficient evidence of a drug tax stamp violation, because the state put forth no evidence that the drugs did or did not contain such stamps. Photos were insufficient because they did not show both sides for each item. The drugs themselves were not admitted.
